My name is Mohammad Reha. I grew up in Afghanistan in a Hazara family, and I now call Sydney home.

I am completing my Honours in Philosophy at the University of Sydney, where my research focuses on AI, citizenship, and political legitimacy. My philosophical formation began with Islamic philosophy- particularly Farabi- and has since expanded into political philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, and aesthetics.

I hold two Bachelor’s degrees: one in Dari/Farsi Literature and Humanities from Herat University, and one in Philosophy and English from the University of Sydney. I also did a semester exchange at New York University. Literature and philosophy have never felt like separate worlds to me. I write poetry and fiction occasionally, read widely across world literature, and return often to questions of identity, culture and their relation to our individual and collective existence.

Since 2015, I have been publishing essays and articles on literature, culture, philosophy, history, religion, and society in Farsi and English media outlets. Writing, for me, is how thinking becomes public.
